A law firm seeks a skilled mid-level Litigation Associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join its Litigation Department. The firm values strong analytical abilities, exceptional writing skills, and a genuine interest in courtroom advocacy. Experience in healthcare and/or energy litigation is preferred but not required.

Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation matters, including conducting court appearances and hearings.
  • Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and legal teams.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met effectively.
  • Stay informed on developments in litigation, including healthcare and energy law, when applicable.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, commensurate with time in practice.
  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing abilities to support case development.
  • Self-motivated and capable of handling a variety of litigation matters independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or energy litigation is a plus.
