A law firm is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney I with the following responsibilities, qualifications, and benefits:

Job Overview:

The Senior Family Law Attorney I will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law matters, from initial consultation through resolution, while also actively participating in firm marketing and brand expansion efforts. This role requires strong communication, advocacy, organizational skills, and a commitment to client satisfaction.

Duties:

  • Utilize 5+ years of law practice experience to manage a caseload of family law effectively matters.
  • Demonstrate a successful record of mediation experience and significant trial experience.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
  • Market personal and firm services to prospective clients
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
  • Conduct due diligence in all matters
  • Manage schedule to accommodate consultations and closure of consults to meet production/collection objectives.
  • Close consultations within the firm's range of 30-50%, depending on the practice area
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices to maintain the financial health of the business.
  • Fully utilize and ensure the productivity of support staff
  • Update the case management system accurately and entirely with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc.
  • Expand the personal and firm brand actively through blogs, social media posts, board and organization participation, etc.
  • Solicit positive comments and reviews from successful client engagements
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar
  • 5+ years of experience as an attorney with a successful track record in family law practice
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong legal research skills
