Bankruptcy And Restructuring Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City seeks a skilled bankruptcy and restructuring associate attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of legal experience, including substantive Chapter 11 and bankruptcy litigation experience. This role requires excellent academic credentials, solid law firm experience, and exceptional writing and communication skills.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, debtor and creditor rights, and bankruptcy litigation.
• Conducted legal research, drafted legal documents, and prepared pleadings and motions for bankruptcy cases.
• Assist in representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, negotiations, and court hearings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and support litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (active and in good standing).
• 2-6 years of relevant legal experience in bankruptcy law, focusing on Chapter 11 reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation.
• Strong academic achievement throughout law school.
