Marital and Family Law Attorney

A Delray Beach, FL law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Marital and Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for helping families navigate the complexities of divorce and family law while providing hope for their future. This role requires the ability to manage a personal caseload with the support of a collaborative team, advocating strategically for clients and their children in court.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family court, depositions, and mediations.
• Complete discovery processes and draft pleadings, orders, briefs, settlement agreements, and financial affidavits.
• Advise clients on various marital and family law issues.
• Handle own caseload while collaborating with a team of attorneys and staff as needed.
• Analyze financial documents, tax returns, and spreadsheets.
• Negotiate settlements and mediate family court issues.
• Passionately guide and support clients through the divorce process.
• Manage legal assistants and maintain involvement in the legal community.

Requirements:

• Must have a portable book of business.
• Family Law litigation experience with a portable book of clients is required.
• Admitted to the Florida Bar with no disciplinary record.
• Strong understanding of financial documents.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar with a clean disciplinary record.

Skills:

• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong ability to build rapport with clients and referral sources.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lexis, and Outlook.
• Ability to strategically advocate for clients in court.
