Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial.
• Handle cases involving general liability, professional liability, and employment claims.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on complex and diverse legal matters.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Work closely with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to develop case strategies.
• Manage a robust caseload in a demanding and deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: casualty, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, or general liability litigation.
• Previous experience in an insurance defense litigation firm (preferred).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State.

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Competency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
