This full-time position will allow the successful candidate to handle a variety of responsibilities, including managing hearings, drafting legal documents, and ensuring compliance with foreclosure and bankruptcy requirements. Duties

  • Assist with the Florida office’s practice, including managing litigation and collections cases.
  • Represent the firm in hearings, ensuring legal matters are presented effectively.
  • Monitor case progress and develop strategies to resolve matters efficiently.
  • Review and analyze documents, financials, notices, and demand letters before filing actions.
  • Draft and review pleadings and other legal correspondence to initiate actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records within internal systems, including findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and handle all matters with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections.
  • Manage contested cases, including conducting discovery, and representing clients in trials.

Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years of legal experience, ideally with a background in collections or similar fields.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work products.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze legal issues and develop corrective actions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including legal software and general office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
