Candidates should have exceptional research and writing skills and a strong interest in appellate litigation.

Duties:

• Draft appellate briefs, motions, and legal memoranda for complex litigation cases.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support arguments in appellate and trial court proceedings.
• Present oral arguments in federal and state appellate courts when necessary.
• Collaborate with trial teams to ensure effective issue preservation and strategic case development.
• Analyze court decisions, legislation, and legal trends to provide insights and recommendations.
• Assist in case strategy development, including risk assessment and legal positioning.
• Participate in client consultations, offering expert legal guidance on appellate matters.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Prior judicial clerkship experience, preferably at a federal or state appellate court.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle high-stakes appellate litigation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Outstanding academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of California or eligibility to practice under California’s admission requirements.
