Associate Attorney needed for San Diego office

Job Overview:
A mid-sized law firm is seeking a talented Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. Duties:

• Handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including wrongful death, contract disputes, business disputes, premises liability, and personal injury claims
• Develop legal strategies, research, and draft pleadings and motions
• Manage discovery processes and case documentation
• Argue motions in court and attend mediations
• Gain trial experience and contribute to trial preparation and execution
• Manage an independent caseload while collaborating with team members
• Communicate with clients, providing legal advice and ensuring successful outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an attorney
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting
• Courtroom experience, including taking depositions (trial experience is a plus)
• Strong legal research and writing skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work effectively in a team
• Client-focused with a passion for achieving successful outcomes

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar in the jurisdiction where you will practice
