Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Global Franchise and Supply Network Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will be involved in various franchise and distribution law facets, including developing franchise programs, managing franchise relationships, drafting essential legal documents, handling franchise disputes, and engaging in international cross-border transactions. This role requires a candidate with exceptional academic credentials, law firm experience, and outstanding writing and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and structure franchise and distributor programs for diverse clients.
  • Assess and counsel clients on franchise contract and relationship issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
  • Draft franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements tailored to client needs.
  • Perform state registrations for franchise offerings, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.
  • Negotiate supply contracts and other transactions critical to franchise and distribution operations.
  • Assist in resolving franchise disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation support.
  • Engage in international development projects, including cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance with global franchise laws.
  • Stay updated on relevant franchise and distribution law developments and advise clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Colorado or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience in a law firm setting, preferably focusing on franchise and distribution law.
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating franchise agreements and related documents.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal franchise regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in handling international franchise matters and cross-border transactions is a plus.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively counsel clients and work collaboratively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic background in commercial law, franchise law, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar or the ability to waive in.
  • Additional certifications in franchise law or international law are advantageous.
