A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a dedicated Creditor's Rights Attorney with a strong background in consumer credit collections and litigation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in navigating state laws related to consumer collections and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), along with exceptional client communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned creditor's rights cases using the firm’s case management and reporting software.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials, with occasional travel required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer credit collection laws and regulations specific to Nevada and other relevant jurisdictions.
  • Provide superior client service through proactive communication and timely updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to streamline case workflows and ensure efficient case management.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions with debtors and opposing counsel when necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada or eligibility for admission on motion.
  • Should have experience in creditor’s rights, consumer credit collections, or related litigation.
  • Familiarity with Nevada state laws and regulations governing consumer collections and the FDCPA.
  • Strong courtroom presence and experience representing clients in litigation proceedings.
  • Proficiency in using case management software to effectively handle caseloads.
  • Preferred multi-state licensure to handle cases across different jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
