Job Overview:
A renowned global law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution Associate to work on cutting-edge technology projects for leading tech companies. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage patent prosecution and counseling for high-tech clients
  • Collaborate with engineers and developers on technology-related matters
  • Interact directly with major tech companies and establish strong client relationships
  • Provide strategic advice on patent law and related intellectual property matters
  • Engage in additional related legal work as needed
  • Analyze patent applications and draft relevant legal documents

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling
  • Technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or a related field
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • U.S. bar membership
  • Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

Education:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • U.S. bar membership
  • Registration with the USPTO

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of patent law and technology
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical matters effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Proficient in managing patent prosecution and counseling cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
