Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, focusing on defense cases in product liability, personal injury, and insurance defense.
• Independently manage a caseload, ensuring all legal proceedings are handled efficiently and promptly.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Provide counsel and strategic advice to clients.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and case strategy discussions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and handle complex legal matters.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
• Stay current on legal trends and developments in defense litigation.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation, particularly defense work.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable in a courtroom environment with experience in depositions and hearings.
• Active licensure to practice law in Texas.
• Independent, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Texas State Bar License.
