Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Raleigh is seeking a litigation associate attorney who will play a pivotal role in the firm's legal team, primarily focusing on litigation matters. They will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in various stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case files, including organizing documents, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case calendars.
• Attend depositions, witness interviews, and other case-related meetings as necessary.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and evidence rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
