A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for an attorney with expertise in U.S. franchising regulations and experience in drafting franchise agreements and regulatory filings. The position offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, including both domestic and international matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal advice on complex business transactions in the franchise and distribution fields.
  • Counsel both domestic and international clients on franchising compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on both transactional and litigation franchise issues.
  • Support a broad client base, including new franchisors, established franchise companies, private equity firms, and international businesses franchising into the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Knowledge of U.S. franchising regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Admission to practice law in Arizona, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar or eligibility for admission.
