The role is primarily based in Syracuse, NY, though remote work options may be considered.

Duties:

  • Assist in managing and advising clients on project development matters, including commercial and financial transactions, and real estate transactions.
  • Participate in land use, zoning, and real property tax issues.
  • Support senior attorneys in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare reports on regulatory matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with external stakeholders, including municipalities, developers, and financial institutions.
  • Provide legal guidance to clients on various aspects of project development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project development, commercial transactions, or real estate law.
  • A strong understanding of land use and zoning laws is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial transactions and project finance is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
