A law firm seeks an experienced transactional real estate associate to join its growing team in the Frederick, MD office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to work with a diverse set of clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, combining sophisticated legal expertise with a client-focused, team-oriented approach.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, and development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts and agreements.
  • Advise clients on zoning, land use, financing, and environmental matters related to real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts for commercial real estate deals, including title reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Handle closings for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage legal aspects of property development projects and resolve any related disputes.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in transactional real estate law.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial real estate law, including contracts, zoning, land use, and finance.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate agreements and documents.
  • Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in commercial real estate law and related legal practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
