Duties:

  • Represent public agency clients in a variety of litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Take ownership of significant case components, including strategy and execution.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Provide legal counsel and support for eminent domain and other related matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload and multiple priorities.
  • Experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience or interest in eminent domain matters is a plus.
  • Active bar membership in the state of Washington.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.

Skills:

  • Strong research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Familiarity with litigation processes and case management tools.
  • Knowledge of eminent domain law (preferred).
