Associate Attorney needed for Buffalo office

A law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of consumer and commercial debt collection matters, handling various legal proceedings from motions to trials. Both experienced and newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply. Duties:

• Manage a high-volume caseload involving consumer and commercial debt collection.
• Prepare and execute court calls, ensuring efficient case management and representation.
• Handle motions, contested hearings, arbitrations, and trials with proficiency.
• Draft, review, and approve pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and post-judgment supplemental proceedings.
• Represent clients in various stages of debt collection litigation, from initial filing to final resolution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to strategize case management and legal actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with eligibility to practice in New York State.
• Law license in Kentucky, Indiana, and/or Ohio is a plus, but not required.
• Experience in debt collection or related legal fields is advantageous, though newly licensed attorneys are also encouraged to apply.
