Associate Attorney needed for St. Louis office

Duties

• Handle motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
• Manage daily communication with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Serve as first-chair in jury trials for smaller cases.
• Assist as second-chair in jury trials for catastrophic loss cases.
• Participate in appellate practice when necessary.
• Conduct depositions and manage deposition practices for all cases.
• Develop trial strategy and collaborate with the lead attorney.
• Oversee written discovery processes and deposition tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in personal injury and workers' compensation law.
• Preference for attorneys licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Kansas.
• Ability to handle first-chair jury trials for smaller cases.
• Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, depositions, and trial strategy development.
• A positive, driven attitude with a desire to grow and succeed in personal injury law.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri (other state licenses preferred).

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent litigation, trial preparation, and courtroom experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a trial team.
• Proficiency in managing discovery and deposition processes.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
