Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking a highly motivated senior associate or senior counsel to join its Class Action group. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with 7+ years of experience in complex litigation, particularly in defending class action lawsuits in the labor and employment space. Location:

Duties:

  • Defend class action lawsuits in various areas, including employment discrimination, workplace privacy, wage and hour claims, and consumer fraud
  • Lead litigation efforts and manage all aspects of class action cases, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Develop and execute case strategies and manage client relationships
  • Collaborate with a team of class action professionals and employment law experts
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and staff
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation
  • Stay updated on developments in class action and labor & employment law

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in complex litigation, with a focus on class actions
  • Experience in defending class action lawsuits, including in areas like employment discrimination, workplace privacy, wage and hour, and consumer fraud
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills
  • Ability to manage complex cases and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented, collegial environment
  • Requisite bar admission in one of the listed jurisdictions

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction where the role is located (required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with class action defense, including settlement and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor junior associates
