Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, communicating with opposing counsel and clients, and appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings. Previous experience in insurance litigation and/or personal injury defense is preferred. To qualify for this role, candidates should hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record and be admitted to the Nevada Bar. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interfacing with attorneys and clients.

Duties:

• Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation cases.
• Conduct fact investigations and legal research.
• Draft discovery requests, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations and negotiations.
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and clients.
• Appear in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of complex commercial litigation.
• Prior experience in insurance litigation and/or personal injury defense is preferred.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Admission to the Nevada Bar.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
