A law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Laguna Hills, CA. The successful candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in civil litigation, be licensed to practice in California, and possess the ability to handle discovery, take depositions, make court appearances, summarize records, and prepare for trial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Make court appearances for hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Summarize and analyze medical records, employment records, and other documents relevant to cases.
  • Prepare for trial, including drafting motions in limine, trial briefs, and jury instructions.
  • Develop case strategies and legal arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments, case law, and procedural rules.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
  • 3-10 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial.

Education:
