A law firm based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. This is a great opportunity for an attorney with a passion for immigration law to handle a diverse range of cases while gaining substantial experience in the field. The position offers room for professional growth and development in a collaborative environment, reporting to the Managing Immigration Attorney.

Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration laws and strategies to clients
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a caseload, including conducting intake meetings with detained individuals at centers
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review and modify immigration applications as needed
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on legal changes
• Conduct consultations with potential clients and recommend appropriate legal strategies
• Develop and implement strategies for court and USCIS testimony, preparing clients and witnesses
• Offer legal analysis to assess case benefits for clients
• Draft and submit legal briefs for diverse immigration cases

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player
• Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload
• Experience with various immigration petitions and applications, including Family-Based, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and USCIS-related matters
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not mandatory

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in AZ.
