Associate Attorney needed for Fairfax office

Job Overview:
A busy law firm in Fairfax, VA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to support the firm's managing partner in handling primarily traffic, criminal, and family law cases. The position is full-time, with the majority of the work requiring in-court appearances.

Location:

• Fairfax, VA

Duties:

• Manage and support traffic, criminal, and family law cases.
• Appear in court regularly (4 out of 5 days a week).
• Communicate directly with clients to handle case-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare necessary legal documents.
• Work alongside the managing partner and other associate attorneys.
• Assist in case strategy and litigation preparation.
• Provide excellent client service and representation in legal matters.

Requirements:

• Active Virginia Bar License (required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and cases efficiently.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, courtroom-focused environment.
• Previous experience in criminal defense, litigation, or traffic law (preferred, but not required).
• Desire to develop as a litigator and build courtroom experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Virginia Bar License (required).
