Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney to join its team in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in class action defense, and possess excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills. The role requires effective verbal and written communication with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties, as well as the ability to manage a multi-matter docket and meet deadlines efficiently. Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as:
  • Working at a computer for extended periods, including on-screen reading and typing.
  • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
  • Attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• JD degree
• Admission to the VA Bar is required.
• 4 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience managing a multi-matter docket.
• Experience with class action defense.
• Experience with complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
