A respected law firm in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team. As an Immigration Attorney, you will be an integral part of the team, managing cases, providing strategic legal counsel, and working directly with clients in a fast-paced setting.

Job Overview

The Immigration Attorney will manage a varied caseload, focusing on removal defense and family-based immigration petitions. You will work closelthe y with clients, build legal strategies, and represent individuals in immigration courts. Duties

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Handle a caseload of diverse immigration cases, ensuring timely progression and resolution.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
  • Prepare and submit various immigration applications, including petitions for removal defense and family-based immigration.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications and documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Provide consultations to potential clients, assess their cases, and develop strategic legal plans.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs in various immigration matters.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong case management skills, with the ability to prioritize and move cases forward.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team of legal professionals.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and client-focused approach.
  • Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Applications, EOIR proceedings, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS processes.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Bar in good standing.
