Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A multi-office law firm specializing in foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, and real estate-owned (REO) matters is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for its Melville, NY office. Location:

Duties:

• Manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Draft and review pleadings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Attend hearings and status conferences.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams.
• Provide strategic legal solutions to mitigate client risks.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Strong understanding of title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and mortgage banking law preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume legal practice.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and research abilities.
