A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing practice in Dallas, TX. This position is ideal for an attorney with 3-6 years of experience in employment law or complex litigation defense, including class actions, representative actions, and single-plaintiff disputes. The successful candidate will work on a variety of labor and employment matters, including traditional labor law and employment counseling. Strong writing, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with teams across multiple offices are essential.

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including class actions, representative actions, and single-plaintiff cases.
  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of labor and employment matters, including compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Handle labor law matters, including union negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop strategies for litigation and employment counseling.
  • Collaborate with teams across offices to provide seamless legal services to clients.
  • Participate in client meetings, hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed.
  • Stay current with developments in labor and employment law to provide timely legal guidance.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in labor and employment law or complex litigation defense.
  • Experience with class actions, representative actions, and single-plaintiff litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team across multiple offices.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and litigation.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in Texas.
  • Order of the Coif, law review, or clerkship experience would be a plus.
