Duties:

• Drafting patent applications and managing the prosecution process, including responding to office actions and other correspondence from the USPTO.
• Supporting litigation efforts, including preparing for patent trials and providing technical expertise during patent disputes.
• Conducting prior art searches and performing patentability assessments.
• Collaborating with attorneys and clients to strategize on patent filings and protections.
• Providing counsel on patent strategy, infringement, and related legal issues.
• Reviewing and analyzing patents and scientific literature for relevance to client needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
• Strong IP background with a focus on chemical, pharma, or biotech technologies.
• Proven ability to draft and prosecute patent applications effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field is required.
• Advanced degrees or additional relevant experience in the IP field are highly preferred.
