General Practice Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned general practice attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join its dynamic and fast-paced team in Eastern Washington. The ideal candidate will have experience across various practice areas, including family law, estate planning, personal injury, real property disputes, and criminal defense. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, family-like environment, handling cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Manage cases in family law, estate planning, probate, personal injury, real property disputes, and criminal defense.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including motions, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients throughout the legal process.
• Collaborate with the firm’s team to develop strategies for case management and client advocacy.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and professional representation.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, including motions and court appearances.
• Strong background in one or more of the following areas: family law, estate planning, personal injury, real property disputes, or criminal defense.
• Ability to independently manage cases from initiation through trial.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Washington State, in good standing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in litigation, including motion practice and courtroom procedures.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
