Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of commercial litigation experience, preferably with a focus on general litigation, food industry matters, or employment law. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload, including cannabis law litigation, regulatory compliance disputes, licensing issues, contractual disputes, and intellectual property litigation
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners, associates, and support staff
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on litigation risks and opportunities
  • Participate in business development activities, including client outreach, marketing efforts, and networking events
  • Stay informed about developments in cannabis law and related areas, and share knowledge within the firm
  • Contribute to the firm’s overall success by assisting with client relations and helping to expand the practice

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar and in good standing
  • Minimum of three years of commercial litigation experience, with a preference for experience in cannabis law or food industry matters
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service excellence
  • Experience with business development and client relationship management is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar
