Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Towson, MD is looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. Duties:

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation through expert discovery, in professional malpractice and employment-related cases.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct extensive legal research and manage discovery investigations.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, pleadings, case evaluations, settlement agreements, affidavits, legal memoranda, and court orders.
• Review discovery responses, and depositions, and prepare detailed litigation updates and summaries.
• Negotiate settlements and work closely with opposing counsel to resolve claims.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal analysis, updates, and advice.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Must be barred in Maryland; a DC license is a plus.
• Experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, and/or employment litigation is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the Maryland State Bar.
• Additional certifications (such as in DC) are a plus.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with LexisNexis and other legal research tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
