Attorney needed for Chicago office

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm specializing in representing financial institutions is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in collections, foreclosure, and bankruptcy. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, handling a range of legal matters. This position offers hybrid flexibility and requires occasional travel for court hearings across the state of Illinois.

Location:

• Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

• Represent clients in matters related to collections, foreclosure, and bankruptcy
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and petitions
• Appear in court hearings, primarily in Illinois, on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with other team members on client cases and strategy
• Manage case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely completion of legal work
• Provide legal counsel to clients on relevant laws and procedures

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in collections, foreclosure, and bankruptcy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Illinois Bar License required
• Willingness to travel for court appearances across the state

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar membership

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Experience in collections, foreclosure, or bankruptcy is a plus
