Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Product Liability Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This position is based in California, with opportunities in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, or potentially other locations in the state. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in product liability litigation, be familiar with all phases of the litigation process, and be comfortable managing a caseload with a proactive, independent approach. The role involves a broad range of litigation tasks, from discovery through trial, and offers a competitive compensation package along with numerous benefits.

Duties:

  • Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations as needed.
  • Draft various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and interrogatories.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis and draft memoranda based on findings.
  • Prepare detailed status reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Review and organize documents for litigation purposes.
  • Manage all stages of litigation, from responsive pleadings to trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in litigation, preferably in product liability.
  • Experience with discovery and law and motion practice.
  • Familiarity with both state and federal court procedures.
  • Excellent academic background and a strong work history.
  • Proven ability to manage time-sensitive cases and multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
