Litigation Attorney

Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney – Hybrid Position

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to join a dynamic team with a focus on General Liability, Professional Liability, Healthcare, or Labor and Employment litigation. This is a hybrid position that offers both in-office and remote work opportunities, with an emphasis on hands-on experience, professional growth, and mentoring.

Duties:

• Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, including initiation and expert discovery, in matters related to general liability.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct detailed legal research and investigative discovery.
• Draft legal documents, including discovery requests, motions, case summaries, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing litigation updates and summaries.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
• Maintain direct communication with clients, offering legal analysis, status reports, and advice.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of litigation experience in Pennsylvania.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
• Strong experience in drafting discovery, leading depositions, and arguing motions.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis legal research software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedures.
• Highly skilled in legal research and document drafting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
