Duties

  • Represent clients in a variety of insurance defense matters, including bodily injury, construction defects, and employment-related claims
  • Manage cases independently and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Develop legal strategies and guide case direction, ensuring each matter is handled in line with client goals
  • Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Litigate cases, including drafting motions, responding to discovery, and preparing for trials
  • Take a proactive approach in finding creative legal solutions to meet client needs
  • Provide legal counsel and advice regarding case progress and potential outcomes
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives to improve case management processes and client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • Experience in insurance defense, with a focus on bodily injury, construction defects, or employment law
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and work as part of a legal team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to advocate for clients effectively
  • Ability to develop creative legal strategies and meet client-specific needs
  • Experience with litigation and courtroom proceedings, including taking depositions and preparing for trial
  • Additional licensure in other states is a plus

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar membership
