Duties:

  • Represent clients in courtroom proceedings related to consumer financial disputes and credit enforcement matters

  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and administrative staff to manage case files and meet litigation timelines

  • Participate in strategy development for litigation matters across various stages of the case lifecycle

  • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties, including defense attorneys and pro se litigants

  • Resolve disputes including defense of counterclaims and handling escalated litigation issues

  • Monitor regulatory changes and legal developments impacting consumer financial litigation

  • Utilize advanced legal tech platforms for case tracking, communication, and document preparation

  • Attend regional court hearings and fulfill all court-related responsibilities in and around Denver

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and good standing with the State Bar

  • 1-3 years of experience handling civil litigation, preferably within creditor’s rights or consumer finance

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload efficiently

  • Strong decision-making abilities and comfort with courtroom advocacy

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Willingness to travel locally for court appearances

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Colorado Bar Association

Skills:

  • Proficiency in litigation procedures and civil practice

  • Familiarity with legal technology systems and digital case management tools

  • Skilled in strategic negotiation and dispute resolution
