A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its team in Round Rock, TX. This position provides an excellent opportunity for recent law graduates or those with up to 5 years of experience to further their career in litigation. The firm offers a collaborative environment where you will work alongside experienced managing attorneys and shareholders, handling a variety of cases and legal matters. Duties:

  • Collaborate with managing attorneys and shareholders to handle litigation cases.
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload, including working cases from start to finish.
  • Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, written discovery, and motion practice.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and prepare for trials.
  • Draft and respond to legal motions, as well as handle discovery processes.
  • Assist in providing general counsel services to clients when requested.
  • Analyze complex legal issues and develop strategies for resolution.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar (or eligibility to sit for the 2025 Bar Exam).
  • 0-5 years of litigation experience (experience in real estate or valuation issues is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate novel legal matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Desire to take on increasing responsibility and handle cases independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership or eligibility to join the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in litigation practices, including motion practice, discovery, and court appearances.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
