ME Engineer Patent Agent/Technology Specialist

A law firm in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an ME Engineer Patent Agent/Technology Specialist with expertise in engineering and patent law. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and writing abilities, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in engineering-related fields
• Conduct patentability searches and freedom-to-operate analyses
• Provide technical support for patent litigation matters
• Assist in intellectual property due diligence processes
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop IP strategies
• Participate in technology transactions, including tech transfer, agreements, licensing, and contracts

Requirements:

• MS or Ph.D. in engineering
• 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience in engineering
• Strong background in patent law
• Experience in a law firm setting preferred
• Excellent academic credentials

Education:

MS or Ph.D. in engineering

Certifications:

Patent Agent registration with the USPTO preferred
