Job Overview: A law firm in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advocating for clients in workers' compensation cases through legal representation and strategic counsel.

Job Duties:

  • Reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records to effectively advocate for clients.
  • Draft motions and attend hearings to represent clients in court.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
  • Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.
  • Responding to discovery requests and drafting discovery-related motions.
  • Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
  • Drafting motions for summary judgments.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in Indiana (Dual Licensure in Illinois is a plus).
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
  • Excellent research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Indiana.
