Job Overview: The Insurance Coverage And Bad Faith Attorney will handle legal matters related to insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, representing clients in hearings and trials, and providing legal counsel.

Duties:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Handle depositions hearings and attend trial.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel.
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with other attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Must meet expectations for billing goals.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance law and regulations.
