Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join the Renewable Energy Project Finance practice in the Los Angeles office. This role offers the opportunity to work on renewable energy projects, such as wind and solar power, and storage-related financings. The ideal candidate will support complex transactions, including construction financing, term loan finance, and back-leverage financings.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Draft exhibits and financial/corporate documents.
  • Handle project-related diligence, especially concerning the construction and operation of renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on complex renewable energy transactions.
  • Assist with legal matters relating to financing wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
  • Engage with clients, supporting their business goals through expert legal advice.

Requirements:

  • General corporate experience, with exposure to project finance.
  • Strong drafting skills, with the ability to manage various legal documents and transaction elements.
  • Knowledge of project documents related to renewable energy.
  • Experience with construction and finance transactions is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the California Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
