Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney with significant experience in personal injury litigation. The role involves representing clients from the initiation of litigation through case conclusion, whether by settlement or trial. The firm offers a structured work environment that allows attorneys to focus solely on litigation without the responsibility of managing pre-suit cases or the business aspects of running a law firm. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, trial experience, and a passion for client advocacy.

Duties:

• Manage approximately 35-40 active litigation files.
• Work directly with a paralegal and legal assistants to prepare cases for trial.
• Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
• Handle motion practice and general discovery.
• Represent clients in settlement negotiations and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys on trial preparation and strategy.
• Attend seminars and workshops to continuously improve trial skills.

Requirements:

• An active member of the Florida Bar, in good standing.
• Minimum of 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Proven trial experience with a history of serving as First Chair during trials.
• Comprehensive litigation experience, including motion practice and depositions.
• Familiarity with discovery processes and court procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of Florida.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
• Additional certifications or bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Skills:

• Proficient in case management software, preferably SmartAdvocate®.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high caseload.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply but not mandatory.
