A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic and fast-paced civil litigation practice in West Covina, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney to handle all aspects of litigation, from client intake to trial, with a primary focus on property and business/contract law. Duties:

  • Manage full-cycle litigation from client intake through trial, including jury and bench trials.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Develop case strategies, including procedural planning and legal arguments.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trials across multiple counties, including West Covina, Pomona, San Bernardino, and Riverside.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to refine case theory, trial strategy, and legal approach.
  • Handle appeals when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records and manage caseload effectively to meet deadlines and billable hour requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and answer legal questions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on civil matters.
  • Proven ability to handle cases independently and through all phases of litigation.
  • Strong courtroom presence and experience in trial work.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn on the job, particularly in handling property and business/contract law cases.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and legal research skills.
  • Willingness to meet billable hour targets and work under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
