A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Mid-to-Senior-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managed care or health care law, demonstrating excellent academic credentials and robust writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. This role requires a proven ability to handle multiple cases, manage regulatory or compliance matters, and serve as the primary point of contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate complex cases related to managed care and health care law, including arbitration and regulatory matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic legal advice and coordinating communication throughout litigation.
  • Oversee and coordinate with other associates and staff involved in case management and litigation processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client counseling.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration hearings, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Handle multiple litigation matters simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective case resolution.
  • Provide expert counsel on regulatory compliance and risk management issues in the managed care and health care sectors.
  • Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments affecting managed care and health care law.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on managed care or health care law.
  • Proven experience handling multiple cases and managing regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Ability to serve as the primary contact for litigation and client counseling, including coordinating with internal teams.
  • Significant case management and client counseling experience preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on litigation, managed care, or health care law.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
