A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Plaintiff's Personal Injury team in Burbank, CA. This position is designed for an attorney with 1-3 years of experience who is eager to work closely with a lead attorney and a supportive legal team in a firm known for its commitment to client service.

Duties

  • Represent clients in various personal injury cases, including premises liability, auto accidents, slip and fall incidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
  • Manage a significant caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines for all assigned cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and complaints, and file lawsuits as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare motions, mediation briefs, and trial preparation documents.
  • Take and defend depositions to gather critical information for case development.
  • Argue motions and participate in opposition hearings, both remotely and in court.
  • Strategically litigate cases by collecting key evidence and building comprehensive case files.
  • Negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while providing excellent service.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the California State Bar.
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience in personal injury law.
  • Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines.
