Job Overview

A prestigious law firm located in New York City is seeking multiple Litigation Attorneys with a minimum of three years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group. The role involves managing complex real estate litigation cases, from pleadings through trial, and providing strategic legal guidance to clients.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including initial pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other necessary court documents.
  • Represent clients in state Supreme Court and federal courts, with the ability to argue motions confidently.
  • Attend and actively participate in court hearings and proceedings.
  • Handle appellate matters, as applicable (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Collaborate with clients to provide legal strategies and ensure their interests are protected.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably involving real estate disputes.
  • Proven ability to handle pre-trial proceedings, including drafting and arguing motions.
  • Experience with depositions and other discovery procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence in representing clients in court.
  • Appellate experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
