Job Overview:
A leading law firm located in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney with 3-10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense. The role involves representing employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured entities in workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation, motion drafting, depositions, and providing exceptional legal representation in various court proceedings.

Duties:

• Review and analyze medical records to prepare client summaries.
• Draft motions and represent clients in hearings and trials.
• Prepare clients for and attend depositions, both fact and expert witness depositions.
• Draft initial reports, interim updates, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
• Respond to discovery requests and draft motions related to discovery issues.
• Regularly attend court to advocate for clients and ensure favorable outcomes.
• Engage in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution methods when necessary.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
• 3-10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and depositions.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Georgia.
