Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Immigration Attorney to join its expanding legal team. With an office in Florida, the firm seeks an attorney passionate about immigration law and eager to develop their expertise in this field. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to handling a high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen business sense, capable of managing legal proceedings efficiently while providing top-tier service to clients.

Duties:

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs.
  • Develop and execute effective case strategies.
  • Oversee multiple cases and manage paralegals and support staff.
  • Train and supervise legal team members.
  • Draft and review court documents, including motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislative and judicial developments.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and trials.
  • Promote legal services through business development efforts.
  • Work one Saturday per month, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Provide expertise in immigration matters, including but not limited to Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in immigration law or a strong willingness to transition into the field.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage high caseloads and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising legal staff.
  • Commitment to client service and responsiveness.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Skills:

  • Fluency in Spanish (required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business development and client relationship management skills.
