Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Schenectady, NY, is looking to hire a Family Law Attorney with significant experience in handling a diverse range of family law cases. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate on client cases while receiving full support in the areas of marketing, client intake, administrative tasks, and collections. This opportunity allows attorneys to focus on the practice of law while leveraging the firm’s resources to reduce operational burdens.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee a variety of family law cases, providing strategic legal counsel and representation to clients.
• Collaborate with the firm’s team on case development, strategy, and execution.
• Handle client interactions with care and professionalism, ensuring consistent and empathetic communication.
• Maintain thorough case documentation, filing, and necessary legal paperwork.
• Ensure the timely progression of cases through the legal system, meeting client and court deadlines.
• Assist with case management and take on new clients, balancing multiple cases simultaneously.
• Provide limited-scope representation where applicable.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York, in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, handling a variety of family-related legal matters.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and ethical legal services to clients.
• Familiarity with limited-scope representation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid New York State Bar license in good standing.
